1988 Kentucky Derby Winning Colors #810

This photograph shows Winning Colors, with Hall of Fame rider Gary Stevens aboard, holding off Forty Niner to win the 1988 Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs. Winning Colors becomes the second filly of the decade and third in 73 years to win this horse race. The "Run For The Roses" is considered America's premier horse race, always drawing crowds in excess of 100,000. This horse race has earned the nickname of being the "Fastest Two Minutes In Sports".
