1984 Kentucky Derby Swale #812

This photograph shows the ill fated Swale, with Hall of Fame rider Laffit Pincay Jr. aboard, drives to victory in the 1984 Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs. The "Run For The Roses" is considered America's premier horse race, always drawing crowds in excess of 100,000. This horse race has earned the nickname of being the "Fastest Two Minutes In Sports".
