This dramatic photograph shows Fusaichi Pegasus, with Hall of Fame rider Kent Desormeaux aboard, winning the 2000 Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs. He was the first betting favorite to win this horse race since Spectacular Bid in 1979. The "Run For The Roses" is considered America's premier horse race, always drawing crowds in excess of 100,000.
