Eight Belles 2008 Kentucky Derby Post Parade

This is a poignant photo of the ill fated Eight Belles in the post parade prior to the 2008 Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs. She ran her heart out in the “Run for the Roses”. Horse racing is an exciting sport, however this tragic ending to a spectacular horse race by the winner, Big Brown will be forever remembered by her breakdown and death.
