Whirlaway 1941 Belmont Stakes #508

Whirlaway gives the legendary Eddie Arcaro his first of two Triple Crown championships in the 1941 Belmont Stakes. Whirlaway even ran in a prep race between the Preakness and the Belmont. A feat that no race horse today would even consider doing. Whirlaway finished first, second or third in 56 out of 60 career horse racing starts. An extraordinary feat by any measure.
