1964 Kentucky Derby Northern Dancer

This photograph shows Northern Dancer, with Hall of Fame rider Bill Hartack aboard, holding off Hill Rise to win the 1964 Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs. The “Run For The Roses” is considered America’s premier horse race, always drawing crowds in excess of 100,000. This horse race has earned the nickname of being the “Fastest Two Minutes In Sports”.
